Copyright Infringements

We take the rights of our artists seriously and we employ enforcement agents to police their copyright. Where an image from the Cartoon Collections database has been used without payment of the appropriate license fee, or not in accordance with our licensing agreement. The following fee will be charged to cover the past misuse of the image:

(The appropriate license fee for the use in question) x (the number of whole years over which the infringement has taken place) plus a $60 fee to cover the costs of collection.

For example:

Where an image has been used illegally on a non-commercial website for 2.5 years, the fee our agents charge will be ($50 x 2) + $60 = $160. This will cover use of the image up to the date of enforcement only. Using the image ongoing will additionally require correct licensing through paying the appropriate fee as per our Pricing Page.
